Client Relations Officer - New Mexico

Job Summary: The Client Relations Officer is an expert in B:Side Capital's financing options, particularly the SBA 504 and 7(a) loan programs, in addition to B:Side Fund's direct loan offerings. Success in this role requires advanced SBA knowledge, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across all teams within the organization. The Client Relations Officer will build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, COIs, brokers and others in their market to help meet organizational objectives and continue to build brand awareness in the area.

Major Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Understands all programs offered at B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund with an accurate and comprehensive knowledge of the Small Business Administration loan programs;

  • Drives new business by hitting quarterly and annual metrics;

  • Cultivates positive interactions and relationships with the loan production, closing and portfolio management teams, as well as organization-wide;

  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales and Marketing to identify and execute on various strategies to hit targets;

  • Creates new relationships that enhance B:Side’s growth and expansion efforts;

  • Provides excellent customer service and resolves issues promptly to maintain a positive reputation for the business; 

  • Effectively collaborates and consults with the Lending Director, managers and full loan production team to ensure alignment on SBA eligibility; 

  • Identifies and attends productive networking events, sponsorships, etc;

  • Organizes events on behalf of B:Side in coordination with the Marketing Officer;

  • Manages their pipeline across all programs;

  • Identifies key contacts at potential and existing lenders to establish and/or deepen relationships;

  • Joins lender on prospective borrower meetings to thoroughly understand the project and provide B:Side program’s expertise;

  • Works across all teams to schedule and conduct lender trainings; 

  • Builds trust and long-term relationships with lenders and other industry-related professionals; 

  • Identifies prospective leads and serves as primary contact for new lending relationships;

  • Leverages lead generation tools to source potential projects for deal placement;

  • Assists in the collection of necessary information for projects as needed;

  • Remains up to date on market and industry trends;

  • Regular and predictable attendance;

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required, or relevant work experience.

Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience within commercial and/or Small Business Administration lending or a related field.

  • Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing  

  • Supervision Provided: None at this time

Work Environment: Primary work location is remote from home and based in New Mexico. This position will require frequent travel around the state, including quarterly travel to B:Side's headquarters located in Denver, Colorado.

Status: Exempt

Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 along with quartely and annual bonuses, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, short and long term disability, health savings account with employer contributionns, flexible spending accounts, dependent care accounts, 401(k) with up to 6% match immediate vesting, all federal holidays paid and open paid time off. Position may be commission-eligible.
