Privacy Policy

At B:Side, your trust means everything to us. In order to maintain that trust, we’ve created this Privacy and Security Policy.  We do not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. This policy is your guide to how we will handle information we learn about you from your visit to our website.

Information Provided by You

We only directly collect personal information about you when you submit such information to us through our website.  For example, when you submit an online form, register for an event, sign up for a mailing list, apply to participate in our educational activities, or participate in the recruitment process for employment.  Basically, any time you choose to submit personal information through our website but at no other time.

Once we have that personal information, we might use your contact details to send further information about our organization, educational opportunities we think might benefit you, or to contact you when necessary. You may always opt out of receiving future emails (see the "Opt Out" section below).

Again, your trust means everything to us and we want to make sure everyone is on the same page: we will not obtain personal information about you when you visit our site unless you choose to provide such information to us.

Except as described below, B:Side will never disclose personally identifiable information, including but not limited to name or contact information, to third parties unless B:side has permission or is required by law.

B:Side will never rent, trade or sell email addresses gathered through the website for commercial purposes.

Opt-Out

You can always opt out of receiving emails from us by sending an email to info@bside.org, or by clicking the unsubscribe link in one of our emails.

Automatic logs of web site access

We automatically collect and store non-personal information about your visit to our site.  Such information includes, for example, your IP address, the date and time you access our site and the Internet address of the website from which you linked to our site.  This information doesn’t allow us to personally identify you, but does allow us to understand how people, in general, are finding us on the internet and how our site is being used.  That, in turns, helps us provide you with the most relevant and useful information.

We may provide log files to third parties for analysis so we can better understand traffic through our site. But, again, these log files do not contain personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of data sent from a website and stored on a visitor’s web browser. This site may use cookies to keep track of a visitor's session. Cookies may be used to gather information that will help us personalize your experience on our website.  Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser settings to refuse to accept cookies if you prefer.

Third Party Sites

B:Side may work with third-party vendors to provide special features such as online payment processing. When we do use third party vendors, they’re not allowed to use your personally identifiable information except as it relates to helping us help you.  And, they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Use of Links

Sometimes on our website we provide links to other organizations’ websites and, therefore, the other organizations’ servers. We take no responsibility for, and exercise no control over, the other organizations or their views, or accuracy of the information contained on other servers.

Creating a text link from your website to our site does not require permission.

Use of Text and Images

If you would like to publish information that you find on our website, please send your request to info@bside.org. The use of our logo, images, texts and related materials is protected and requires permission. Where text or images are posted on our site with the permission of the original copyright holder, a copyright statement appears at the bottom of the page.

Accessibility

This website is designed to be accessible to visitors with disabilities, and to comply with federal guidelines concerning accessibility. We welcome your comments. If you have suggestions on how to make the site more accessible, please contact us at info@bside.org.

Sending Us an Email

We offer a variety of ways that you can contact us electronically. When contacting us electronically, you may decide to send us personal information.  We use personal information from email and online forms primarily to respond to your requests. We may forward your email to other employees who are better able to answer your questions. We may also use your email to contact you in the future about programs that may be of interest.  Again, you can always opt out of receiving email communications as described above.

Children Under Thirteen

B:Side does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen.  If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. Have you noticed this trust thing is important to us?  When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.  Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon on your web browser or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Non-Discrimination Policy

B:Side Capital does not discriminate against any person based on age, color, creed, disability, familial status, national origin, race, religion, sex or on any other basis legally prohibited by or protected by Federal or State law. We do not exclude anyone from participation in programs and services, or deny persons the benefits thereof, or subject anyone to discrimination on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Questions, concerns, comments or requests for accommodation, whether from employees or clients, should be directed to hr@bside.org.
